North Shore Schizophrenia Society’s Family Support Services (NSSS) – Click Here  604.926.0856 (for education, family support and counseling on all serious mental illnesses).  The Family to Family Education Course is offered in Sea to Sky every February.  Friends, neighbors, employers, landlords and service providers are also welcome to call NSSS for information and advice if they are worried about someone.  We work with people wherever they are, often family members in other provinces and sometimes other countries.

Every third Wednesday of the month, a Whistler Family Support Group will be taking place from 7:30-9:30, free of charge. 

Topics covered at this meeting include: Problem solving and how to cope, communication with someone who is ill, advice on working with the system, looking after yourself as a caregiver and access to family support coordinators for personal support.
